Do you hear my whisper
as my voice carries softly into your ear?
Do you hear the words I speak
as "I love you" floats like a song of love?
I hear a gasp, and see a small gulp, as the words arrive
chill bumps on your arms stand out on their own,
as "will you marry me" follows behind.
On my cheek
tears of happiness come raining down
I take your hand in mine
moisture in the palm
my mouth goes to your fingers
and my lips take them in,
then once again
"I love you, will you marry me"
echo's into the beauty of our surroundings.
For the first time I hear you say
"I love you and I will marry you"
"Forever and a Day."
