My grandfather's car
I guess even though no one is forever, you can stay in touch with persons by sharing common things that bonded you sometime. So I can say, that I have this special connection with my grandfather and the old cars. He loved to take care of cars, the ones that where of collection because they were already too old. I remember since I was a little young girl, that he taught me how to care about objects. His passion for cars gave me the interest to care about not only cars but of things you love with all your heart. Even though for him it had a greater relevance than for me, I can say that we both shared that passion that connected us and I really love it. I know I can feel close to him, that I can still stay in touch with him thanks to that passion we shared because of an object we were both interested in and its funny how sometimes you want to share that interest with other people and you tell them, where it came from, in this case, from my grandfather so it feels really good to be proud of things an old man that for me was the greatest example alive, taught me and gave me to share with others forever. I can say I am proud of having a grandfather that taught to me the meaning of caring about what you love, just not about the object, but to feed the things you desire, and to share with others that desire so you can express how important or special it is to you. I would love to share with my kids or my grandchildren how much I care about some objects, so we can continue this tradition, or maybe just talk to them about the passion I shared with my grandfather so they can feel that love for cars too and even though they don’t get to know him, they’ll feel like they do. I can finally say, it is not about the object I’m trying to tell you or how important material things are for some people, it’s about the caring, the bonding and the importance to have something to share with someone, the feeling of having something in common because this will give you the eternal privilege of having a link with that special person which you care about.
