THE TONGUE

Folder:
2003 Poetry

moved by a burning desire

a hunger for dilemma is

going through the back

slowly creeping to ruin

everything--bit by bit

a raven’s coo is heard from above

but from a garrulous heart

is a fluent black

such prowess in concoction

like silages served with poison greets

no way it will be hushed

for like water it finds its path

the meaning summons peril

and if the hunch is deadened

rest assured the target

shall soon have all the muck
