oh! sympathetic well of luck and wealth

please give me a man to wed

when I was younger, I asked for a man

with wealth, good looks, intellectual

and benevolence,

and since none came to ask for my hand

my predilections have long changed

I hope this time my coins would buy me this chance

that I shall soon meet the man of my trance
