FOLIE A DEUX

Folder:
2002 Poetry

two foolish

hearts

having wakeful

evenings

insomnia

all through

the night

one doesn’t know

how to tell

the other

waiting so

eagerly

to hear

syrupy tender

those sweet

three words

stuck in his

throat

held by the

traffic road

unlighted by

the power surge

he decided

to stay quiet

to just stare

from a

distance

while she

on the

other hand

awaits

for the glory

moment

when he

finally says

out loud

say it

alone

or amid

the crowd

she

anticipates

it wont be

long

soon he

would have

the mettle

and not

the kettle

and her dream

would come

true

Author's Notes/Comments:

Tis is for the MALES who are afraid to be turned down. Don't be such a dummy, if you love someone get it of your chest, who knows she might feel the same way too

Author's comments:

That is true,
just let it out...
Though the word is "might"
but at least you tried

"You think Einstein walked around thinking everyone was a bunch of dumb-shits?"

Ernest Bevans's picture

If the Heart is pure then there should be no fear.
Where there is no fear this is hope for trust in love
without jelousy. Without jelousy, peace and with Peace
the hope for the perfectly bonded union.
What woman would want a coward anyway -
And what man would treasure an easy score?

Life and love have such a twist doesn't it.
I enjoyed this piece. Keep it Going, your love for words.
