such a blanket of dark times
has covered the world
blood and idealistic rhetoric
spawns and spews more and more
barbaric forms of heavy handed
brutal law
by men who only subscribe
to lawless barbarism
while hatred, fear and distrust
have swept the Bulkans
with Goliath himself rising from
his formerly defeated ashes
in this age old tale
so twisted now in its telling
Libya chaotically racing
into tribal war
failed state status nearly imminent
at home continued political polarization
the overly conservative doggedly digging
his heels further into the sand
with liberals attempting to free themselves
of the old ways more and more
and pockets of small town police departments
joining the fray of wrongfully killing innocent
young black men
buying themselves into that unfair fear
many decades now long
Socrates come be born again
and guide mankind into a position
of greater self restraint cloaked in
enough mutual respect to go around
the universe unhindered.............
