gentleman chimer
erstwhile rhymer
cataclysmic designer
be ye ever as you may
'tis not a raven you need worry
or metaphor of
'tis a black heart
left devoid of love
eying the chasm of distance's chase
fighting amongst the churches of another
foolish race
no ferry doth bring any groundswell
to wash up your tithing 's ring
books be banned
sheep be sheared
in such lands of the damned
need nothing be truly feared
'tis no real abominable thing
so write your script
live long in your crypt
cuddle those naysayers with your
pen like a scythe
as be ye they tremble
such horsemen quickly disassemble
for you in your soiled robes
remark so well
tales long ago from which
those today draw from to foretell
the same fear lined worries
the churches with their crippled congregations
possess many answers
but so little courage
alas be the sacrificial tool
unveil to the glaring world
the sins that pile up
to build such earth like divinity's stool
mere mortals alike
whether aloft or alarmed all across
the world
smile as they too drink this offered gruel...........
