a mere cachet
of sweet feminine curves
that she was yet so much more
alabaster skin
draped so exquisitely
across her voluminous form
supple hips
balanced out her classic
hour glass figure
with her guileless china blue
eyes
a match she became
to light any man's core
her wounded gazelle persona
arose tall and so undeniably sexual
in the eyes of nearly all
who had the pleasure
to come in contact with her
a ditzy tipsy sensuous dancer
she alluringly sashayed
she gave off the vibe
that she was created
just to be a bombshell
with that baby doll voice
spoken through that
sugar plumb mouth
that made big strong men
week in the knees
such feminine tone
could start the playing
of memorable music
putting even the orchestra
itself at ease
echoing out of an unforgettable face
so sensuously designed to stop traffic
she was the quintessential woman
yet it was
the fragile tragic girl that died alone
and in nudity's disgrace
it was only in death that she was able to
arise to the status of legend
while in her lifetime history forgets
many of her peers found her a joke
of an actress
worthy mostly of envy, jealousy and
cruelly spoken taunts..........

Author's Notes/Comments:
I read earlier John Gabriel's poem about Marilyn Monroe here in post poems and it inspired me to search my own thoughts and memories of her and paint with my words for others my impressions of her all these years that I've seen her movies, read books about her, seen old news clips about her and watched interviews with many a person famous and not so famous who knew her or had dealings with her.
