aching
waiting for
I know not what
I wonder if delusion
feels like this
I hear the words be patient
and to myself I think
that is a virtue that will always
elude me, she said
I'm just a lowly woman
who loves a busy man
likely forever too busy for me
I wonder how many other women
are in my position
loving a man with their whole entire being
and feeling like he's far too busy to give
her any time
I feel like a fool
I'm not feeling these feelings to make him
feel bad
I'm feeling them cause I don't have the
power to dilute them
silly woman, I advise
walk away
remember once again
that old, old saying
"If you love  something  set it free
If it comes back to you it's yours
if it doesn't it never was"
the same goes for loving a man
leave him be
if he wants to go for many days without
talking to you
let him
and when he finally does find the time
to get back to you
guard your aching heart
and teach him how to treat you better
the cloak of indifference is a remarkable tool............
