NEAR OPTICALLY INTERTWINED

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

is it just me
or if one looks into
the human eye
oh so carefully
the cosmos seem to reflect
back to you
the pupil
so like the moon
a darkened dot
before the light spray of the sun
(the Iris)
with flecks of stars all around
the globe of the optical
at least to me
appears as a miniature universe
a microcosm
God demonstrates in various ways
via the window to the human soul
that compliments the broader
scope of all his diverse creations
which whispers to my senses that
within us he placed a blue print
of all he has created
is a ponder worth taking
look into a mirror
and notice through the human eye
the soul and universe
somewhat seem photo negatives
to each other
'Near Optically Intertwined'
ever in the majestic
of all creations...........

Author's Notes/Comments:

Was reading and critiquing a poem by fellow post poems poetess poetry wings and I noticed her picture is of a human eye ( likely a drawing or painting perhaps) but then I went to the mirror and looked closely at my own eye and how the pupil along with the iris and their tiny flecks so much look like planets and stars in an eclipse of the moon before the sun and this poem surged from that. Feel free to disagree with me but what came felt so right to me. Enjoy the poem. I was elated to write it.

I agree

Dear Melissa,
Poets, according to Socrates, are inspired individuals. Imagine, just looking at a human eye avatar inspired the making of this wonderful poem. I can't wait to look at mine closely and see if I am as creative as you, LOL! I agree with your comparison of the human to the solar system :)

Truly Creative!
