Author's Notes/Comments:
an ode to a strangely though brightly dressed over made up 20 something girl I very nearly ran head on into in the soup aisle at Walmart this passed Sunday. I did not stare but my mind sure did take tons of visual notes. I knew I'd write a poem about her. She was such a loud, complex character it took my subconscious 3 plus days to adequately process all her particularly odd characteristics. Too bad I never got her name. I could have sent her a copy of the poem her appearance inspired. Oh well.......and by the way she wore a Jacket that had all kinds of flowers on it. I recognized only the sun flowers, roses and Lilies hence the title of the poem that came to me first. For some strange reason I imagined her name was Petal or Moon or Zoe or Aqua.........was just a mental impression I walked away with. Sure made buying my gallon of milk more interesting ( as my mind continued to trip over what my eyes had just encountered)
