sweet intrinsic harbors
all points of light that dot
this lonely heart
forever in your favor

scrumptious skipping
of weakened muscle beats
unaccounted for
I stand breathing
your love's
tenderest property

though madness frets
truth calms a churning sea
minutes grow hours
among the rain of their
own tears
so silently set free

worry was never held up
for bad behavior
honesty forever sings
in provincial tones of
silenced regret

clever thing is a broken heart
catches and clashes
filthily found in the muck
of what can never be again

the day will bleed out
leaving the night to limp away
forcing tomorrow morning
to wake
with a thoughtless hangover
of no more
these wounds we leave
to each other
in lieu of
' A High Jacked Happily Ever After'
we never even realized
would one day be................
