tire marks on outside lines
of the road
skidding over guard rails
perhaps
or just a boring over corrected turn
too hard to tell
as I'm driving by at this speed
perhaps I should slow down a bit.......
woman pushing baby cart
no baby, just groceries
strange
homeless addict
I wonder
or
just a poor hungry woman
walking back from the
corner grocer
is of no matter really
besides
she has a beautiful elegant face
I observe
was watching 'It Happened One Night'
on television just the other evening
and wondered if Claudette Colbert
ever realized her name sounded
similar to clawed a cold bear
as I'm missing a particular man
I ask myself is it really even possible
to miss a man who has never even
been here once for me to truly have
the opportunity to miss him
my logic begins to argue with me how?.........
tarnished pride, such a strange saying
it makes me conjure up pictures of
dirty pots
why not rusted ego instead?
is aged beauty really beauty at all
or just some way for others to
point out she's pretty but old now?
sounds cruel when said like that
but I still don't much care for the
phrase aged beauty either
is it just me or does the phrase
freedom fighters sound like a
a really bad oxymoron?
you know some drunk
forcibly volunteered soldier
thought that one up
and it grew like wild fire
throughout the world
is whimsy something
we aim for
or something we already
just are
I have an aura of whimsy
about me I've been told
so it must be innate
is there any such thing
as a bi polar bear?
if so I bet that is one
weird bear
if love is a many
splendid thing
then divorce must
be a fractured argument
that seems like it will
never end
if coffee were tea
and tea were coffee
would my breath still
be as sweet
I somehow doubt it
anyway was just one
of many a random thought

just like kazillions of others
before it..............
