though the smoke is still rolling
and soldiers still recoiling
the battle ashes are shifting
Libya though marred
has loosened her chains
of Gaddafi's bitter hold
freedom tastes sweet
even on tired dusty mouths
the world sings in unison
of her hard won victory
her future yet
but a lotus in cheerful bloom
sipping on the libation of hope
that the every day people
meticulously stirred
the worlds country's raise their
own cups to yours
and whisper too
sighs of such grateful relief
blessedly alas
her stepped on people
are joyously free
of that tyrant's rotting boot..............
