smiled
her gap toothed smile
at me
as
destiny hummed her
off tune song in my
oh so receptive ears
ah but you
my sweet wonderful you
you took my hand
and kissed it most tenderly
from the mere
introduction of a poem
and loved me soundly
into your life
like a hurricane picks up
the wind
and through the abundance
of your life's words
loved me
spirit deep
and romantic crazy
until
I fell for those stars
that shone from your eyes
and climbed aboard a rainbow
to caress your own
lonely heart....................
