this is for the one
who has become
my second self
living in my dreams
since the last I could remember
is she now beside me
my sweet beloved girl
but above all still don't know why?
I'm still the same way
being a mad poet thinking about her
searching for her but still even then
breathing her like she, herself
is my last missing breath.........................

Author's Notes/Comments:
I came across this in my old email drafts the late poet Afzal Shauq wrote this to me in an off line and I saved it. I didn't want to encourage him in life so I thanked him for it but never posted this poem in my POEMS WRITTEN FOR ME folder. It has been more than 8 months now since he died so I figured I should update my poems written for me folder and be more accurate. Not sure if Afzal posted this poem on his page (he more than likely did) but I didn't want to keep my page fully up to date. Enjoy and do rest in peace my friend Afzal.
