'Barracuda Jones Esq.'
cousin to the fictitious Indiana
he said with an azure wink
tripping about his Simon Baker smile
a careless rogue
settled now this side
outside of Seattle
there his charm he sequestered
for a little while
harmless I'm sure, the happy fink
a gentleman of some wit to procure
no doubt
a salacious saboteur of kink
double dipper to the quill
wasteful of the most scandalous ink
a male harlot even, if you will
but only in his own mind
egotistical?
oh thoroughly!
but quite adventurous
while voraciously
draping his talent across
many a compounded rhyme
the man, himself is a personal wreck
but a true artisan to literature
when it comes to lavender, lace
and Victorian erotica dripping from
only the finest cognitive mind
utterly shameful are his pages
you bet
but as unforgettable as Byron
though never diddling with boys
nor as disgusting ever he be for his time
Casanova could have under studied
his bawdy skits
and came off smelling as a far better
Lover
a reformed rogue calling it quits
upon discovering the one beauty
who could eternally captivate
his spirit
an enchanted lady of her own
tectonic letters
most cordially described
to the world by his own
pen's tip
as none other than
his so beloved Waterloo of the wickedest wit.....................

Author's Notes/Comments:
was in an uproarious bawdy mood and this poem came to me. What if we had today among our midst a man similar to the poet Byron but not as disgusting. Byron wrote so beautifully but some lady a few years ago wrote a book about him pulling all her information from the great many letters he wrote to people in his life time and in his own words he pained a picture of a true libertine. He had many lovers male and female and I was shocked at how disgusting his life was that he lived but he could write so romantically and beautifully of love and esteem. I just wish I coudl recall the lady's name who wrote it and the title of the book. I borrowed it at my local library.I may have to call them and see if they can look it up for me as that title and author are evading me. I imagined what if we had today a man like him in his poems and perhaps a wreck in his personal life but not to the morals of an alley cat degree that Byron practically personified. I imagined this guy would be quite an interesting person to describe and so I took it from there. He is nobody in particular I am just sketching a lovable/hatable character who like the rest of us succumbs to a great love and finds his equal if not his indeed better half and excuses himself from his former bawdy life once so astonishingly lived. I tacked Esq. on at the end of his name as some do that only as a title of courtesy in which they allow to themselves and it sounded like something a guy like him would do.I really enjoyed writing this piece and was happy when it started coming to me. I hope it comes off that way. Enjoy..............
