distorted perception
is
the root cause
for much of society's
illogical terror
today's common sense
eludes the collective
in an overhaul of
gathered beliefs 
forcing a destructive
mass exodus
of frank for thought
and vital exchange of
ideas
while
tempers of fearful egos
flair
to erect their barricades
separating them from us
madness concerning the
yet known
is little more than
a societal disease
that globalization slowly
helps to address
there really is no them and us
there never was
it was but a group ego illusion
that the populous followers
followed
and 'We Are The World'
is so much more than
an awareness raising song
and poverty fighting tool
it's
'Who We The World Are'
which should be addressed
so stop being afraid of
those you don't know
by working a little harder
to get to know them
(an extension of ourselves)
and quite beautifully over
time
the boundaries man has
constructed will blur
and whether it's from
across a fence
or from across the
literal globe
you will encounter
surprising figures
just like yourself
grappling to evolve
into a better human
who leaves behind
a better mark
upon this lovely old world...................
