THROUGH THE DEBRIS OF A WORLD #

JOURNAL #39

such visions
quell not the mind
but sharpen its edges
into a little fonder focus
when man chooses
to look deeper within
his self perceived
far too jaded heart
he is then
able to see
much the clearer
as he again peers back out
upon the age, wear and dust
of the world
piling around him
some would taste such
strange brew
as if it were a mystic's cocktail
but this man in his 'Brighter Tomorrow'
I gather
sees it as a pale reflection
back from his own future
shimmering hopefully upon
the duller edges he feels
all around his present personage
God I believe smiles at that
very notion
for that is an avenue
he opens widely for all men
who care so much as to seek
a brighter inner self
in such a cold and stifling
sojourn
'Through The Debris Of  a World'
polluted with too many
other minds
yet so enlightened.............
