I realized today
down as I was
in the dredges of
miscommunication
that
without you
I am
'A Shadow'
more or less
which compels me
to wonder
if all my life
prior
I, unknowingly
lived
as just that
'A Shadow'
touching many
while touching no one
just waiting at the forest's edge
dancing at the faintest seam
below the tree tops' light
always searching for
that sensational sun
with its
illuminating light
of my love
that of you
to splash its glorious beauty
upon
bathing my world in something
warm and new
and here tonight
in the familiar blanket of darkness
momentarily alone
as I am
my love for your precious spirit
just now
revealed this to me
so very clearly
without you
I will always remain
'A Shadow'..................
