there are many

precious things

that

we have yet  to pay for

our separation

for now

is a form of currency

owing to that

as our debt to each other

grows higher

the interest mounts

but we are not daunted

for such debt is worth

the view we both

can so easily see

'That Gorgeous One Day'

when we will have a difficult time

recalling what it was like

to be without each other

and so

my heart all too happily

pays and pays

for the hope

that meeting you

has given

and the beauty I own

in knowing

I am your love

and today will come to seem

but a tiny lonely step

taken

to get me to that glorious space

where you are.........................
