LOVE UPON A PERILOUS SEA*

a sweet endearing

cheek

of granite

powerless to the weakness

of his needs

though

a tower of trusting male

the family pillar even

on which his dependents

heavily lean

still upon this dynamic

his lonely heart too often

impedes

but who props up he who

is forever propping up others

does not a tender strong heart

deserve a loving port

of that of the feminine sort

to take refuge in

I think love ties one up in its bonds

that bind almost as much as

the heartache of losing those

bindings makes one's heart

bleed

and so I steadfastly

choose to stick to the

as moments too make

their own memories

we too shall evolve

together

to better be
