it's been years

since I've been able to say

that this country's president

is my president

but I am today

I am so proud

(hopeful too)

to call you my president

President Obama

you are the embodiment

of what this great country stands for

when the world looks upon you

they see one fine reflection of many

in your subtle grace

of just what America can be

tall

proud

Articulate

and free

the mixed heritage of our nation

you reflect for everyone to see

just how far we have come

from what we once had allowed

to be done

to where Rev. Dr. King prayed

we would one day be

the promised land has risen

to unite us all as one race

The American Race

the world can see of us

through you

that we stand once again

one nation under God

indivisible

with liberty

and justice for all

that shining house on a hill

smiling for all who come

to see her

now behold

our newest pride hope and joy

leader of the free world

(we hope and will vote for)

we praise you for your chosen

journey

in an obvious ground swell of

gratitude

for this truly is 'A Moment Of Hope

To Be Savored'.............................
