awake yet asleep

I crawled to my feet

better for having been

undaunted

by feelings

I've related to only you

drawn inwards

where shall wisdom dwell

as I am

but in the hovel of change

by passing this ineffective

world working the angles

or conquer life's happenstance

we reside as marked strangers

meeting beyond a thirst filled

stand

sneaking up in ourselves

to peak at the other's

unaltered hand

I've learned a lot from you

in love most blessedly

you stay

'The Lovely Same'

nothing but the heart's truth

beats  its gentle love from your lips

all a collection of purposeful intent

you unmasked moment by moment

to draw me closer to your way of love

and it worked so beautifully
