he thinks I am the sun and the moon
he makes love to me with the heat of his gaze
how far we have gotten
a soft place distanced from the fog
so much desire he has reframed
on the wall of our lives
our wedding rings hang
the strength beneath the gold
may escape others' notice
though his eyes tell me all I need to know
vows unbroken further cement our promise
acceptance supports the longevity that respects
what is known as a 'couple'
we are the players in a non competitive game
winning is only a wing plucked from illusion
yet knowing this, never stops us from
achieving the favorable out come
perfect harmony
she softly whistles her happy tune for us
we dance amid her petals of faith
its never felt this good to simply come home
again
I am quite utterly taken by the rush of
passion that drowns me in the heat of his much
too aware eyes
in response to such invitation
I say,'Well hello there lover and he leads me
off to bed
once there
he demonstrates for me yet again in another way
how we are indeed truly one.................
