LIVER SPOTS; THE SIGN OF AGING EQUALITY

Folder:
JOURNAL#15

sometimes the way we women feel

is not so very easy to reveal

so many emotions tend to stop at logic's hand

little is confirmed when we speak

yet men still in our presence so politely stand

the world revolves through tears just a little

softer

decisions continue to get made and we still

rebuff the old boy network

as their hidden intentions grow loftier and loftier

keep her down while shes still high upon her

pedestal

the grand daddy of old world business would likely

say give her whatever she wants whenever she wants it

but only once you've made her believe she got it all

her own way

the facts are clear for anyone to see

the stronger in their old way of thinking are

growing weak

and the once thought to be weak have grown stronger

in their new thoughts

outcasts are no more than lepers of the past

the once hard, impenetrable glass ceiling is now

nothing more than trick, breakaway glass

waiting for the right moment to receive its first

big crack

and what do you want to bet that some indignant

woman will be standing behind the first male who

gets angry enough to give it a good hard whack

all because it took the love of such a said good

woman for him to see the error in his fellow

man's ways

now that will be what this woman calls equality

I just hope I live long enough to see such a day....

my strong belief that one day women will truly will be given the same opportunities and rights as men along with equal pay for equal work.
