you asked me

to tell you true

do you want me as much as I want you?

and I just kept thinking before I replied

do red rockets want to flair

do birds want to fly

do freckles denote red hair

do angels know the map of the sky

does space itself desire to expand

or is that just the guess of an average man

science works for us

while biology leaves us bare

we are products of our checkered pasts

while servants to those more aware
