let me write for you of the love in the sky
streaming from my heart's summer moon
with but the loving blood gripped pen
of my heart's altering desire
through my devotion
I offer to you
all you care to know about tomorrow
whether your soul has endeavored to fully
ask or not
my tattered coat of quiet concern
rests gently about your still stiff shoulders
you have not yet guessed
just how well my heart loves yours
but one day you will
and because of that
we will both be quite blessed
yet for now
more sad is the sorrow
than that of a thousand newly shattered hearts
so call this
if you will
a 'Drawing Upon My Discontent'
as my days in future shall be
much happier spent.................
