softly, sweetly
she caresses even nostalgia's
harshest of all recollection
that of love's previous betrayal
that is she in simplistic essence
she who too, too often
tends to remember life
through a gauzy veil of 'Selectivity'
this is why then, that I must own up
that she, the mighty yet soft hearted
completely clashing, complex
breathless bird of over extended want
is in but one brief all too revealing word
and moment
'Me'
plainly and simply put
my true nature has been confessed
every imaginable and unimaginable thing
for me equivocates love
this purity defies the notion of merely
wearing one's heart on his sleeve
I say wear it
front and center
and as closest to God as you can possibly
get
allowing everyone to see...................
