my fine and so beautifully fierce

formidable Welsh Dragon

a timeless tell tale gift

from my dear yet distant friend

my true English pal Judith

Tell me just how long now have I had my

indestructible you?

not quite yet ten unbelievable years to date

well, you don't say

whenever time is concerned

its usually just best to take it on

by minute measures

marked with each passing day

it was the fifth of May

back in 1989

it was so long ago

and yet not

and somehow

I suppose with you

my plush big red and green stuffy

you with no see able eyes

big though they are

wouldn't/couldn't quite see it that

way

do you ever wish that you were still

back with the moody Jude herself

in the bonny wet bosom of her merry

old England

perhaps even having a lovely sip of

a child's party with tea

surely you couldn't not even for one

of England's single seldom sunny days

and not after all that we've been through

together

as you are ever still a true Welshman's

fair gentle dragon

clear through fin fire and gill

and all Welshmen

true Welshmen that is

I've been informed

just like the lovely green hued you

are emotionally made up that way

reflectively I must confess

I am so very glad

because frankly that reveals to me

that with my sentimental personage

you shall continue to stay..............
