when you meet a stranger
just remember
perhaps he is not really
a stranger to you after all
one truly never knows
why you could have met him
in the local park
when you, yourself
were barely four years old
why, he could have even been
that super nice elderly gentleman
who kindly picked you up and dusted
you off when you took that fateful
header straight into that such sharp
gravel that one time you flew
Willy Nilly down the high slide
a little too wildly to the right
or perhaps years later he took your
parking space while once at the local
mall when it was at its busiest
it is really quite very possible you
know
seeing as our contrary memories don't
always serve us quite as well as we
would sometimes like them to
well, at least just think about it the
next time
before you make a much too hasty snap
judgment about someone you only think
that you've never met
after all the mind is not your most
reliable witness to any physical
perception
because after all you very well could
be wrong and you should know its not
polite to think unkindly of others you
by circumstance are distantly acquainted
to
who unintentionally do something to you
that you don't like...............
