there is wonder all around us

one simply must care enough to look

its in the uplifting spirit of a young

child's quick smile

just as joyously shared as the delighted

twinkle in an old man's eye

wonder is everywhere

everywhere that matters

its in our hearts

and in our hearts' fondest wishes

its in the radiant face of an old widow

who has unexpectedly fallen in love again

for the first time since many empty years

wonder is absolute

its hope's favored elder brother

wonder is looking at your husband of many

years and for the briefest moment seeing

him through the eyes of that flush new bride

of his that you once were

wonder breathes the fragrant air of mystery

and perfection's magnetic allure

it embraces the endless possibilities of even

the smallest joys

wonder knows no limit

nor does it seek universal acceptance for

its humbling gift

its simply just there

right in front of you

there for whomever is taking

ready to be worn gracefully

upon the very soul

to the fullest extent

I myself just happen to be blessed

I learned early on at a very young age

how to wear my wonder well

and with dignity

self respect

and unassuming grace

now, wouldn't you say that its way past the

time that you should too?...................
