spite

to hear the old wives tell it

it owns the sole ability

to steal from one's face

his nose

just as

a kiss

I must confess

possesses the power

to purchase the beauty of a rose

but a lie

ah, a lie can not be told without

consequence eventually having her

vengeful way

its an unwritten law that rules all

the world you see

and has been

every since the snake did his song and

dance bit with Eve

man must pay and pay and pay..............
