it has been said
that old hurts
cry even staler tears
however.......
such script indeed
can entice
with nary the power
that any bold audacious wit
has to enthuse
to the point
where such pain evolved
mocks even the passing
of the years
when living on the edge
of such oblivion
the tongue can be nearly
just as bruising as one's
fist
in a much too cold and
impersonal technology loving
world
that sheister acceptance
shames me with her empty
promises and hollowed
out affections
its the myths of love
that better teach us to
be by far
more giving in the every day
exchange of human comfort
though for some
ships would seem to grow closer
than men
while passing in the night
and yet
fighting such an over bearing
tide of too common indifference
is in a sense
a fair representation
of faith's application
wise is he who realizes
long at last before he draws
his final breath
that life is a gift
ah but blessed as well is he
who also quickly gleams from that
that the living part of that
is work............
