such a swollen sea of trees
all army green
and fighting nature herself
for a better position towards
her father sky
among a wild windy untamed ocean of
thickly wooded land
miles of untouched beauty
so charmingly alive
inspiring such nameless pride
in our fine young America
so gracefully grand
one continuous awe sweeping view
so easily offers the soul
through the eyes of its imperfect
cage
a lingering glimpse of
tranquility itself
on a sultry slow turning warmer and
warmer summer's day
while taking an afternoon drive in the
car
through Pisgah's Blue Ridge Parkway
baring such blessed witness quietly
to one of God's own
such a lovely view
why, its peace itself to the human eye
for one timeless moment
one recalls in hope
just what it must seem like
to get to go back home
so, for such an undeniable day and
surprisingly supreme insight
I eternally thank you my all loving
and all receiving God
in your underestimated spiritual flame
there's praise that goes beyond price
so truly will be thy
our Lord be God
the finest of Fathers by name.............
