BALCONIES OF THOUGHT (M.A.K.)

Folder:
JOURNAL #21

together
we have some sanctuary
with mystical servants
that bow at our command
great ivory pillars of
mortal basking
draw us together
closer still
as if in a portrait
hand stamped in time
like that none so elusive
'meant to be'
pish-posh
oh how it does get thrown around
much too carelessly
stillness enrapts this
unafforded moment
there are simply quite too many
balconies in my thoughts
ah, but if only I could plunge off
every bedeviling last one of them
to find myself
quite blessedly
falling into you
how must such ecstasy taste
with eyes now just a begging to be dried
I look up and up
the poignancy of your own stare
stares back at me from across the ages
a rare vindication
of my so lonesome musings
sometimes it only ends up hurting me
further
knowing that tomorrow is but yet another
endlessly long day to dream of ye.............
