MUTUAL BLESSING

Folder:
JOURNAL#26

such a sweet, imperfect woo

you humble me with your pain

what great, great goodness

must you unknowingly hide

in memories yet revealed

laying cropped beneath

some secretly harbored shame

I feel such a wall in you

a soft, impressive sadness

dances just beyond your

bravadoes melodic speech

such an endearing voice and man

how far into the arms of want

and need

can this one woman for you

somehow manage to reach

no clear cut path stands foraged

for these two alike heart spirits

to grapple toward

and salvage to make their own

two misplaced little rainbows

are we

who can smell the rains that have

yet to come

kindred is this gentle heart

that hears the words

you choose not to speak

perhaps its that very that

which draws us so swiftly near

water we are for each other's lovely

little, isolated creek

so smile a warm, beautiful smile

my warm, incorrigible dear

for this open heart has come to bade

yours hello

and never from it will a goodbye come to

be shared

we've blended in a far more splendid way

two souls emerging

to reach beyond the human trenches

to embrace each other with no fear

for in this moment

fear can only be an illusion

in our minds

and although as lovers

we were likely never meant to be

still, a worthwhile love of sorts

has bloomed

an even better love I'd say

in fact

the like for which too few others

are allowed such deathless joy to see

so keep me always

in your gentle thoughts

as I will you

for so very blessed are we............
