the shade dapples the road

so graciously up ahead

the trees and the smooth pavement

lovers entwined

sunlight inferior

to this stretch of day

a moving photograph

taken within the mind

a treasured souvenir

anchored to a magnetic moment

that cloaks itself in memory

that so beloved afternoon

in Williamstown we spent together

witnessing such beauty

of 'Nature's Peace'

a Valentine offering

from the infatuated still spring........
