upon my cheek
the grace with which you held me
became clear
as sensuous as a man's power can attest
in moments others might see as weak
so very warm you were
agile and promise filled
with hauntingly handsome features
a woman's eyes could get lost in
you radiated to me
that spark of a man who truly cares
why still, I wed thee's smile
to this summer's day
a moment captured in newly framed love
Reacquainted
the promise and the longing
that never once slipped away
joy emerges from such sorrow
a greater triumph and testimonial
to what you, yourself first suspected
there between us
long before I
an inexplicable connection
ere that deep, deep feeling you had
that I somehow belonged to you
even from the out of sync beginning
you remained stead fast
and beautifully consistent
until I believed as well
apparently I ever had
even then
if unknowingly
and still I do
with every fiber of my
broken hearted being.........
