romance

so old it is said

that King Soloman himself

would recognize its angles and planes

upon first immediate glance

but life

ah

I tend to think of life

as a child does a carnival

some of its rides and attractions

are really, really fun

and some are not

'tis all according to your attitude

on whatever the given day

you just so happen

yourself choose to attend

and yet

from a different face's eye point

when one speaks freely about

extremely painful subjects

it takes away their power to only

further hurt

tell me though

just how do each lend themselves

with so little grace

that to rudely awake from anything

is a deluding wonder

under which

we all soon wilt

so sample this thought wisely

your journey through life

is always your very own.........
