my thumb is drawing
quite painfully so
now, if only I could sell the artwork
'ears' to you my dear Mr. Van Gogh
I can see the multitude of designs
expressed as near acute
bordering amateur to divine
why all thumbs around the globe
would hold mine in the highest regard
regardless of price or decline
the purity of talent would remain unmarred
Andy Warhol even in death would be quick to
favor such creative insightful works
oh, the fertile ground of one's imagination
does indeed carry with it many thought quite
ludicrous quaint yet delightful perks
where would I display these absolutely stunning
visions of cataclysmic color
and least yet would they be certain to hail
top dollar
in all likelihood I would have to admit
probably not
but hey, the dream behind the original idea
was grand even if now and realistically forever
its all that I've truly got
well, that and this outrageous poem anyway!.........
