in my head dwells the key to the father of all corners
the earth's own, fire, water, sand,
inhabitants and all their likely mourners
it is understood that man was not the first beast to
graze upon these clearly covetous lands
though the heavens far above were forced to repeatedly
witness the proclaim meant of suffering through numerous
beatings applied by man's hurtful hands
environment is now a guarded issue when ten times twenty
before this very year there was no such recorded word
what terrible terrors we have reigned upon our very own
ears
blocking out a settled gentleness in all of us
that needs oh so desperately to be heard
our children will more than likely pay for our greedily
repealed consequential deeds
and their children 's children somewhere down the
time line will suffer for want of even the most basic
of needs
food, shelter, clothing, unpolluted air and clean
water to drink
oh, just how much further into the pit of over development
can we afford ourselves the added luxury to sink
war is not the worst possible scenario that could push
us all to the edge of extinction's brink
if dinosaurs and man are to be truly pitied then of
the two man more so because he was/is equip to not
only evolve but learn from garden of many mistakes
and last of all he could and can think
who was the dumber of the over populated two
that's easy enough
MAN
for he ignored every warning bell that ever rang
and even simplest clue
OZONE
now who pays for man's colossal mistakes
simple
Future Generations
your children
my children and every one right on down the line
close behind me and you
ironically enough though we could have saved ourselves
if only we would have taken our former counterpart's
Que
those big ole dumb dinosaurs whose bones you find all
glued together in too many dusty life like museums
to mention..........
