It wasn't so much the words she wrote
it was more the way she depicted the disappearance
of 'The Dead Girl's Coat'
to actually think someone could have disposed of it
in a dump
builds up in my dry throat a very large big lump
her parents surely would have wanted it back
for mere keepsake alone
who else could have wanted it as much
well, that is not yet known
what would she herself have done with it had she
had the chance to have grown
possibly throw it out with the garbage
how ironic
or handed out to a close friend as a
permanent loan
the tattered truth will likely stay buried like an
old dog's long forgotten bone
but with the shifting of the evidence over a period
of many years
arrows will someday be shown
and alas comes the drying of our untouched tears
I miss you Joan.....................
