MYSTIC MARLIN

Folder:
JOURNAL#5

kiss me for luck he quizzically said

yet as he spoke his eyes were laying me down

upon a disheveled bed

with a gaze as heated and inviting as a winter fire's

fine emblazing flame

they put this written attempt of sheer devilment to

absolute pitiful shame

though on his experienced lover's heart

I hold no tragic claim

I can't seem to think of Marlin without the word

mystic preceding his unusual name

this excitement I feel has me moving straight up the

wall with a resounding bang

what is it about those men of the south that makes

them so irresistibly sexy when they use on you that

soft sweet southern twang

a harmless flirtation is all I had in mind

just think for me to have fallen for the oldest

line in the book How to hook em I must have not only

been dumb but blind

how my unhinged heart bleeds upon this pale narrow

line

if I had been wholly honest with myself maybe

Marlin could have been mine..........
