SWALLOWING REALITY (M.A.K.)

Folder:
JOURNAL #22

with red rimmed eyes

and a blue aching heart

don't you know

I love you more today

than all the tomorrows

that have come before

funny how love

tends to make its own dreams

my wine soaked lips

whisper words that

sobriety all too easily strangles

I love you still

and miss you more

you are the breath my body fights for

the breathtaking view

my weary eyes long to see

the man whose body my arms constantly

reach for

so to embrace

why it seems there is no apparent end

to such private sting

misery's self serving chase

disenchanted with yet another empty day

I crawl back into my woe some bed

and turn my head away

leaving your photograph to miss my happy

adoring eyes

fairness has yet to have its finest day

with us..............
