my ageless love
a harbor and a hill
a man with a net
whose smile for me
is as broad as the shore
such fond places in my mind
why, I go to still
as they feed incandescent ideas
of hearth and home
where a warm greeting to a
stranger says it all
the small shores of my wished for
memories
placate the lonely heart
that warms to gear itself up and
out of this flagging hole
that so many have come to see
as my life now
I don't live for tomorrow
but rather
long for a better understanding
of why today must be
as it is
stepping stones perhaps
a builder's block
I suppose
to better prepare me
for such yet revealed wonders
as that very same mentioned harbor
and hill
yet, oh I can't help but wonder
will the same marvelous man
be there
smiling at me still
the dream whispers
for me
oh, how I hope..........
