if our future's history

could tell all its secrets

apart from all those already told

what could we as a people in turn

hope to learn

a lesson in some foul in nature

perhaps

or a shot in the sore arm of morality

to better help each soul

to quietly reaffirm

why, I bet theologians would cuss

just to get a chance to have

their say in this............
