JOURNAL#3

when I close my eyes
I see bursting blue flames
so wet and bright
the vision almost terrifies
as they sparkle and dance so filled
with tempt
they have to be warmer than the sun's
own light
I'm not certain as I write this of my precise
precious goal
with one cable glance the man/boy inspires
romantic images of pure lust in my calm yet
creative soul
I've only seen a hand full of his films
and in all but one he played his parts well
it was only this last one that made a few intimate
parts of my person ache, tingle and swell
if his current lover or significant other reads
this he or she may not be all too pleased
but I can't let myself be too concerned with him/her
as it's handsome him who can only appease these
nocturnal needs
I wonder if he's anything like that last character
he played
I wonder if his love life is so short in the
department of how much of it hes recently made
I bet not
these images that crowd my thoughts are much
too real
with subliminal glances behind my lids of his azure
eyes, his mouth, his hands, his hair
it's difficult to accept he's anything but a god
I mean he's too thin and fair
I would love to spend an unplanned afternoon with
him but am fearful I would surely be star struck
being a star must be fine
but loving one would mostly likely indeed truly
suck
if I could have anything from him I think I would
ask for a tight meaningful hug and a soft kiss
on the cheek
his presence and warmth in that short moment
alone would so intense that I don't think I could
trust myself enough to speak
lord, how I love the name Andrew
why couldn't you be a boy down the street
this silly infatuation softly to myself I will
always attempt to keep........

Author's Notes/Comments:

I believe I had just seen him in St Elmo's Fire on television. There was a very sensuous love scene between he and Ally Sheedy as I recall....hubba hubba oh yum that was all it took for this poem to materialize.
