such inexhaustable tragedy
or so to its victims it must have seemed
one moment such pristine silence
and great natural beauty
the very next
a horror film come to life
amid the terror of drowning and
subsequent screams
unleashed upon the everyday man
the savagery of a suddenly violent sea
pillaging forth to swallow up all land mass
as well as man
a disaster to the harshest human degree
with numerous boundaries trampled
homes and lives destroyed
confusion, fear, disease and misery
all rise to over take those left in the path
of the water's hell
and hard as it is always in such dire
circumstances to grasp and comprehend
still we are never alone
and everything occurs good, bad or mediocre
for some greater reason yet known
'til at the end of the day
all any man ever really has all his own
is his personal faith
to carry him through
for everything else that came before
t'was but on loan from God
and is his alone to take back or reissue.....
