THE PREOCCUPIED REACTIONARY

JOURNAL#3

like a subtle coupling of thoughts in virtual mass
confusion
on the whole we walk through our separate existences
trying to comprehend the true meaning of the term
delusion
if I'm pushing passed your highly guarded defenses
pardon the unexpected intrusion
its just that you have to be able to differentiate
between reality and illusion
lives are like books whose blank pages must be filled
our souls are the pens that fill up the blanks
if they are so aptly skilled
some people live what can only be described as
half-lives
henceforth the naturally skilled pen concept so
derives
the mind can become the soul's most trusted ally
to the dim and half witted this does not quite
apply
how can one expect deep introspection from someone
who believes he can fly
an extrovert can be overly out going but that
doesn't necessarily mean an introvert is exceedingly
shy
an extrovert can be somewhat introvert if that is
their so desired game plan
if you can keep track of your many scattered thoughts
feelings and reactions to outside sources
you too can develop a deeper understanding of thy
fellow man
at the beginning we all start out more or less
the same
what changes us with time and makes us do different
besides our age and name
why are some people beautiful while others quite
plain
some completely off the wall
others well mannered and tame
some people are fascinated by dreams, sex or death
but my preoccupation is reaction
for this pro-pen-activist it holds an utter
animalistic and magnetic attraction
I find myself a puzzle among many others
I'd dearly love to question Jesus himself
along side Darwin with the aid of say
Dr. Joyce Brothers
that is a strange statement to make
you opt to perceive
no one understands me everybody says this
time and time again
God does
he has all the answers
so how can asking the questions be a sin
if this has been much too complex for you to take in
perhaps I should start from the very beginning
and run through all of this again..........
